Current Projects
Music for Hope is currently supporting a team of fully trained music teachers (all ex-project students) to teach music as part of the school curriculum. This is a unique initiative in El Salvador as music is not a part of the curriculum, especially in village schools.
We hope that through this service we will be able to ensure that the next generation have access to music education.
We have also just supported a tour of one of our young bands in Catalunya (July 2009) where they ran Salvadorean music workshops, performed and did a series of talks to raise awareness of the project.
